For a long time Alexander Graham Bell was considered the inventor of the telephone, with Elisabeth Gray. But Bell wasn't the inventor of this appliance, but only the first to patent it. This happened in 1876. On June 11,2002 the U.S.A. congress resolution approsed 269, by that it recognized that the inventor of the telephone had been Antonio Meucci that called it teletrófone.
